We have lived in Garden Valley, Idaho part time since 2006. In 2009 we purchased the log cabin next to our cabin as a vacation rental property so that others can enjoy the beautiful & relaxing small town of Garden Valley. One of the reasons we chose to live in Garden Valley is because of the easy commute from Boise. It is only a 45-minute drive from Eagle, Idaho or 1 hour drive from most parts of Boise. In less than an hour, you can be enjoying the great outdoors and all it has to offer.

In the summer time, we enjoy relaxing on the deck watching the beautiful mountain landscape and slow moving river. There is an abundance of wildlife so we always have our binoculars handy. We also enjoy floating the Middlefork River by  kayak, raft or tube. The best time to do this is between April & July 1st. Just travel 6 miles up the Middlefork Road, launch your vessel at Tie Creek and enjoy! It’s a great activity for families. In the winter time we enjoy the Snow Tube Hill located in Southfork Landing (5 miles away). It offers a rope tow and six different tubing lanes for all ages. Lots of fun!
